Are we talking about football? At Carter-Finley? Football?
The All-American Football League is looking into Raleigh as a location for one of it’s teams. They have contacted peeps NCSU about using CF.
Two words: SKY HAWKS (one word: sucked)
The AAFL would draft local college grads and play May – July. Officials with the AAFL say they are not competing with the NFL but rather giving many players a game after college.
Ok, I have to admit, I kinda like the idea. Especially if the teams are all local players. I mean, we don’t have a Major League Baseball team to go watch, so what else is there to do in Raleigh those months?

I love the idea. It would give us something to do in the springtime in Raleigh. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this league and I think the graduation policy is going to really help this league. I’m interested in getting tickets…does anyone know how to get some?

Hard to imagine it drawing enough fans. State would have to get, what, 50k per game just for the facilities and staff.
Even if they could get 10,000 fans at $20 each, that is only $200k per game.

We’re No. 1 and we’ll stay No. 1. State will always be way back of the pack….10,000???….what a joke….We’ll have more fans there than State will.
