More media falicy / contradiction / hypocracy

By StruttinWolf

The Idiot: Andrew Skwara, the national college basketball writer for Rivals.com.

The Question posed to Andrew but a moronic Carowhina fan nonetheless: “Having lived in North Carolina all my life, basketball is a huge part of my life. As a lifelong North Carolina fan (and graduate), I love to watch Carolina play competitive teams and this has never been a problem until the last few years. What has happened to the ACC? The ACC has been depressingly bad for several years now. Help!

Andrew’s response: “Apparently, you took a year off from college hoops last season. The ACC had one of its best seasons ever, sending seven teams to the NCAA Tournament. Two teams that didn’t make the field of 65 – Clemson and Florida State – combined to win 47 games. Your beloved Tar Heels got beaten five times in ACC play.

This season, your fears will be validated. Outside of UNC, Duke may be the only ACC team in the preseason top 25.”  (see full article here, I left nothing of relevance out though)

THE STRUTTIN WOLF’S TAKE:

So, last time I checked, RIVALS.COM has NC State ranked at #18 in their top 64 countdown. So, where does Rival’s “national college basketball writer” get off saying as a matter of fact that  “Outside of UNC, Duke may be the only ACC team in the preseason top 25″??? Does he not read his own web site? Or for that matter, any college hoops web site. NC State is is most, if not almost all pre-season polls. And most of those are a upper teens ranking.

If you would like to write this… “reporter”, click here to email him.

I sent my email yesterday. You know, a little accuracy and respect is all I ask of Andrew.

  1. Ed Says:

He also forgets Clemson who has appeared in several preseason polls, though not rival’s.
