Even the Washington Post is jumping on the NC State bandwagon.
There are two potential Final Four teams on Tobacco Road — and that’s not counting Duke. The most intriguing team in the state resides in Raleigh. North Carolina State captured imaginations in the ACC tournament last season, when it advanced to the title game as a No. 10 seed. But it also proved the effectiveness of Coach Sidney Lowe’s offense, a gorgeous mix of backdoor passes, crisp cuts and pinpoint shooting. Lowe added McDonald’s all-American J.J. Hickson to a front court that already included Ben McCauley and Brandon Costner.
It’s scary to think, this hype is getting a little familiar this season. It’s been a while since National heads have been giving props and respect to the NCSU basketball program. As a result, I think we all agree, anything less than the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourney will be a disappointment. The great thing is the ceiling on this team is unimaginably high. Realistically, they can reach the Sweet 16. Imaginatively, they can take a spot at the Final Four.
Can we just go ahead and sign Sid to a lifetime contract?

On a football note, but involving NCSU and UNC. We are trying for a “Red Out” Sat.

Let’s hold out on the lifetime contract. Love Sid but I don’t want him to get too complacent. Red and White rules. Go Pack
